Broca’s aphasia is a brain disorder caused by brain injuries that causes people with this type of disease to be unable to speak or only speak a few words. The cause of this disease is damage to the areas of the brain that control someone’s speech (Broca area). According to Davis (2013), this type of disease may occur from injuries like a stroke, brain tumor, or brain infection. People with this type of disease can basically do everything but speak. For example, if you are talking to a person with brocas aphasia they would be able to understand everything that you are saying to them but will not be able to reply to you the way they want to. This person would know what they would want to say and try to say it but the words just don’t come out or they might come out the wrong way.

A brain disorder that I find very interesting is schizophrenia. Scientists have not been able to pin point the exact cause of schizophrenia. Some scientists believe that the disorder is made of many other disorder and others believe it is made up of one. Scientists all over the world have been conducting research to try and find possible causes of the illness. Schizophrenia is actually a disease of the brain and is not something that can really be ignored. Men usually start having symptoms of it when they are in their 20s and women usually have their symptoms in their 20s and 30s. Many doctors believe that people get this disease because the neurotransmitters (chemical messages produced by the brain) s off balance. Also some scientists believe that dopamine, a chemical involve with the transmission of signals and our thoughts and feelings is too much present in people with the disease. There are medicines that help people cope with the disease; however, there are also many problems that occur with the medication like depression. This disease clearly shows that we don’t know much about the brain, though what we know about it is continuously growing.

According to Medical News Today(2009), Down Syndromw is a disorder of the chromosial. This disorder is caused by something gone bad in the cell divison that ends in having an extra 21st chromosome. Doctors can detect down syndrome before and after a baby is born, using screen test. People with down syndrome has certain characteristics like; low muscle tone, protuding tounge, eyes with white spots on the iris, and a large space between the large and second toe. Individuals with down syndromw develop cognitive ways of mild to moderate mental retardation. They many not walk until the age of 4, but some children can walk by the age of 2. I have found that individuals with down syndrome are regular people just like we are. Just because they have a little brain defect, it doesn't make them any less of a person.

The disorder in kids shows that they have levels of hyperactivity, inattentiveness, and impulsiveness at inappropriate levels. It affects 8 to 12 percent of school children. ADHD is common in males. There is no cure, but there are some treatments- drug and behaviorial therapy. It is unknown what is the cause of ADHD, but in recent studies, there were low levels of glucose in ADHD patients. In another study, there was an irregularity in the patients' neurotransmitters. It affects the frontal lobes of the brain and the cerebellum. It is also unknown how it came about, but people believe it is hereditary.

The brain disorder known as hydrocephalus, is a buildup of fluid inside the skull that leads to brain swelling. According to Hydrocephalus.Allanach.DX(2013), pressure inside the skull is caused by the cerebrospinal fluid and the blood being pumped to the brain. As CSF increases, the brain's blood supply is delayed. The brain will lose access to oxygen and glucose which would cause irritability, tiredness, and drowsiness. Hydrocephalus causes problems with hand and eye coordination as the CSF presses on the blood supply to the eyes. Learning disorders are common for people with this disease. Seizures are experienced by about one third of people with the disease. Hydrocephalus also causes passive behavior and an inability to follow verbal instructions.

A test is being done to student to see id they control a small helicopter. Students were hook up to a an EEG cap. The EEG cap have 64 electrodes to sense their brain waves. So they imagined using their right hand, left hand, or both hands to control the quadcopter's moves. The tests fine that demonstrate progress toward the creation of mind-controlled devices to assist human cognitive and motor functions

According to Laurie Miller (2013), Dyslexia is a learning disability that affects approximately 10 per cent of the population. I find this interesting because I know and seen people with Dyslexia. People with this brain disorder have a hard time reading, writing and spelling. It is a neurological disorder with a chance of it being hereditary, but no gene has been found to cause this disorder. Brain imaging such as MRI‘s show that people with Dyslexia process sound based information in a different area of the brain than people without Dyslexia. People with Dyslexia tend to live normal lives depending on the severity of the disorder.

Anxiety is a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease. This brain disorder can cause various behaviors. The most common behavior caused by anxiety is "moping behavior." Moping behavior is the desire to be alone with your own thoughts and try to "deal" with your anxiety without accepting the help of others or without trying to have fun in life. When it comes to anxiety, this is exactly the opposite of what you SHOULD do.

Head injury is a broad term that describes injuries to the scalp, skull, brain and tissue and blood vessels in the child’s head. Some of the head injuries are also called brain injury, or traumatic brain injury (TBI), depending on the extent of the brain trauma. Its one common type of TBI and that is a concussion. This type of brain injury is caused by the blow or jolt to the head that causes the brain to shake. The shaking can cause the brain not to work normally and can result in serious side effects. Some symptoms are headache, nausea, or dizziness, sleep-related, difficulty remembering or involve mood disruption.

According to The National Institute of Mental Health (2013), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a common childhood disorder and can continue through adulthood. The symptoms include difficulty in staying focused, difficulty controlling behavior and hyperactivity. There has not been a specific cause or diagnosis as to what causes ADHD, but scientists suggest that genes play a large role. Children with ADHD carry a version of certain genes and have thinner brain tissue.
